To keep all my little yarn worms safe, I squidge them into this cute little bin, adoraned with my teeny tiny mushroom 🍄🗑 it's useful for keeping my work area clear, but also handy for times that I need just a scarp of yarn for something. I also use it to stuff small projects too ☺️

🤍 Blossom 🤍 and 🤎 Bramble 🤎 - the berry best of friends! 🐰🍒

I'm catching up a little, so here's Day 15 of #AmiguruMay2025 - Friends 👯🏻‍♀️💕

When I saw these two bunny besties from @iuli.crochets I IMMEDIATELY had to make them 🥹🐰👒 I've also taken to carrying them around with me like two emotional support buns 🫂🩷🐇 and I didn't snap a photo of it, but their hats do come off and the stems aren't attached! I just got too wrapped up with them being cherry babes 🥰🍒

They've also resonated with me so much that I've made a little backstory for them, too... 🤭

Meet Blossom & Bramble – two bunny besties living in the sleepy village of Thistlewick Hollow, deep in the heart of the forest. 🌿

Each morning, their fluffy paws spring into dew-dappled meadows, gathering petals, herbs, and tiny treasures the forest leaves behind 🏞

Blossom, gentle and dreamy, loves to crochet whimiscal clothing made from spider silk and petal fibre, dyed bright with gathered berries 🌸🧶🕸🍓 Bramble, bold and curious, sculpts enchanted pottery, lovingly glazed with fairie dust, to gift to friends and decorate their magic filled garden 🍄🪨🪴✨️

Together, they explore the forest with their fairy and woodland friends by their side. There's a little magic, a lot of tea, and endless cosy adventures 🌲☕️🌷✨️🐇🧚🏻‍♀️🍒

Can anyone guess the cute little golden dragon I'm making for myself? 🥹🐉✨️

I think all crocheters and crafters have bags and/or worktops filled with WIPs 😅 I definitely do! I get to work on something, and then a shiny new pattern takes my eye, and I immediately drop my hook and start on something else 🤭 although tbh, my abandoned WIPs are normally ones I'm working on for myself. I always want to finish things for others asap (health permitting!)

I've also made myself some cute little stitch markers to attach to my WIPs so I can remember what hook I've used for it 🪝 because I'm ALWAYS forgetting what hook is for what pattern as I rarely use the same one the pattern says 🥲 it saves me time trying out every hook to see if it matches my previous stitches 😅

The garden is the perfect place to take photos of my amigurumi and crochet creations 😌 there's an abundance of greenery, flowers and rocks, etc, that make a great backdrop for a crochet photoshoot, not to mention the natural sunlight and golden hour! ☀️🌿🪨🌷

In fact, I was in the garden a few days ago taking some gorgeous photos of this cutie patootie bunny, Rolo! Made in the image of one of my lovely pals rabbit, and was gifted to her as a pick me up during a tough time 🐰🩷✨️

I also enjoy taking photos inside with my light box with various props, too! 📸 but nothing beats nature as a backdrop 🙂‍↕️🌳🪻🍃🌻

It's also Day 4 of #AmiguruMay2025, which is technically a day off... but I couldn't let May the 4th slide without showing off R2D2! 🤖

I made this little fella for my brothers birthday last year (in August), and I've been waiting for May the 4th to come back around just so I can share him today! 🤭✨️

I'm super happy with how he turned out! I love that his heads swivels 😁 I followed the fab pattern by @euquerocroche (which is great, btw!), and then freehanded the little details myself 🧶

I made this little fella for my brothers birthday last year (in August), and I've been waiting for May the 4th to come back around just so I can share him today! 🤭✨️

I'm super happy with how he turned out! I love that his heads swivels 😁 I followed the fab pattern by @euquerocroche (which is great, btw!), and then freehanded the little details myself 🧶

DAY TWO: My Crochet Place! #AmiguruMay2025 💜

Welcome to my little cosy Crochet Corner ™️ ✨️ the place where I'm the happiest of hookers! I've got everything I could possibly need within arms reach (basically a one stop crochet shop!), the best tv viewing position, totally surrounded by comfy pillows, plushies, and blankets (some of my own making, of course 💁🏻‍♀️). It's my perfect crochet place 🥰🫶🏻🧶

The comfort element is absolutely crucial for me, though. Being a disabled crafter, it's vital for me to keep my joints supported, my back supported, and to keep my feet up ☺️ if I don't look after my body whilst crocheting, then it'll lead to injury, further pain, and less time creating (the worst part! 🤭). So hence the plethora of cushions and plushies in Crochet Corner ™️ ☁️🧸 which also bring my a lot of joy as well as comfort!

And so, for me, the environment in which you crochet in is just as important as what you crochet, and what you use to crochet with 🙂‍↕️ the vibes and comfort have got to be flowing ✨️🫶🏻

I can't even imagine how many stitches have been stitched while sitting here 🤔 between the sofa and my bed, it must be in the 100k's?! Maybe millions?! 😯😂

The Paw Print Memorial 🐾🕊

These gorgeous little paw prints are a throwback from last summer, in memory of a gorgeous Siamese cat called Loki 🐱🤎 and what a JOY it was to make them! The pearlescent shimmer was used to resemble Loki's beautiful fur, and the silver sparkle was an ode to the silver collar she always wore 🥰 swipe to see them shimmer! ➡️✨️

Although last year, I had to sadly close my commission slots for these beauties, as I became too unwell to put my all in to them (and being the perfectionist I am, I accept nothing but the best when I work something.) Ot was painful to do so as its something I cherished doing so much 🥺

HOWEVER! The Paw Print Memorials are making a comeback 🥳 because, very excitingly, The Solace Sanctuary's website is launching VERY soon! 💻 which means I can open up commissions for the Paw Print Memorials again, and peoples precious fur babies can be with them once more 🤍🕊

Living life with a chronic illness and disability, my art and crafts have been my solace. They've saved me during the darkest times, and they continue to be my safe space to retreat to from the world. So I thought it was about time to properly open up my Solace Sanctuary to others, and to share my art by giving everyone a slice of solace when they purchase something 😌 whilst also striving to be the light in someone's dark, the yang in the yin, which is represented by the duo coloured blossom branches curled together ☯️

I finished off an old WIP last week (I know, it's a miracle!), and I'm so excited to share it once I get some decent pictures! It's a wearable, which I'm trying to do more of, and it's the most cuddly cosiest thing ever! ☁️

Also, is anyone else obsessed with buying crochet accessories? Because... guilty! 😅 especially stitch markers, like this ADORABLE magic star one from @cupcake_crochet_crafts ⭐️🍫 I'm also a little in love with tiny thread scissors, and I'm hoping to expand my collection of these super cute @kelmscottdesigns 🥹💜

And with thanks to my very clever older brother, I've got plenty of these incredibly handy (pun intended) yarn rings! 💍 they help with constant yarn burn, indents, and any scratchy/itchness some yarns have 😌

Wow, this was a mission to configure 🥵 I had set myself the challenge of making a mini light-up lightsaber for my brothers Christmas gift, and it took a lot of tweaking to make sure it was feasible!

I spent a lot of time twirling lights around and around my walking stick, just to make sure they to sat in the right position in the plastic tube 🌀 I also had to feed the battery wire through the yarn at the right height so it could sit in the 'switch' pouch, making it easy to change the batteries 🔋 there was A LOT of trial and error! 😅

But DAYUM! The effect the lights have has made it all 100% worth the stress! 🗡💙✨️

I used the pattern by @the_crocheting_mom as a guideline, which was super helpful!

Now, to make a red one so me and brother can have jedi battles 😜

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STICK SNOODS! 🩷✨️

So it's the 1 Year Anniversary of @neowalksticks stick snoods, and I am SO proud of my little snoods I could BURST! 🥹

I have such a passion for incorporating my love of crochet and my love of pimping and blinging mobility aids ☺️ if you know me, then you'll know that I rarely leave anything "box fresh", I always have to put my own stamp on things 💅🏻

And when it comes to disability aids and products needed for chronic illness, I think it's SO important to make them fun, interesting, beautiful, and as unique to you as possible! They're an extension of yourself, so they need to be as gorgeous and amazing as you are 💁🏻‍♀️

So when designing the snoods, I obviously needed to make them gorgeous and fun, but they also needed to be convential by providing extra comfort and grip - hence the characteristic bobbles! 🍇 (I didn't know what emoji to use to represent bobbles, so here's some grapes 😅)

And so the Stick Snood was born! 🥳 and honestly, being able to create something that's convential AND beautiful for fellow disabled pals, it was just a dream come true for this little crochet obsessed disabled babe 🥹🫶🏻

This sparkly, fluffy little girlie was spotted "hanging" around the garden in the small hours of the morning! 🦇✨️

Turns out her name is Nebula, and she's a friendly, goofy, playful little bat, with a wonky nose and oversized fangs! And she was gifted to my mum for her birthday last month 🤭💜

What a gorgeous and fun pattern this was! I adapted it ever so slightly from @_olyasam_ original pattern, but it was so simple and effective and I highly recommend it to any fellow bat loving crocheters 🦇🧶

If you swipe along, you'll see Nebula hanging upside down (with some clever photo editing 😉), and the close up of the star glass bead I sewed to Nebulas head 🌟

I originally wanted to have little star and moon sequins spattered across her wings and body, but my technique of gluing was just not happening 🫠 so I improvised and used a single bead on her forehead instead, which I think looks a lot more elegant! ✨️ But if anyone has any tips on how else I could attach hole-less sequins to my makes, I'd really appreciate it!

I went into the garden this morning and a thick blanket of fog suddenly ascended around me... then out popped this little guy with his fluorescent jack-o-lanturn nose! 🎃

IT'S ZERO, THE GHOST DOG! 👻🐶

I had SO much fun making up Zero from A Nightmare Before Christmas! I also made him in extra spooky glow in the dark yarn, so swipe to the end to see that absolute magic! ✨️🟢

I also really enjoyed this different type of design compared to traditional amigurumi toys. The ease and simplicity of it was a breath of fresh air! So big thank you to @vitastoys for such a fab pattern ☺️

This little baby is made from three strands of embroidery thread and is only 3cm high! 🥹🤏🏻 and if you swipe across, you'll see that it's only a few millimetres bigger than one of my Ciclosporine pills 🙃

I'm hoping to make an even teeny tinier Pill Pal with only ONE strand of embroidery thread! But I'll definitely need my magnifying glasses for that, though 😅

My first proper try at ✨️micro✨️ crochet! Only measuring 1cm high, this tiny mushroom used 1ply embroidery thread, a 0.90mm hook, and a pair of magnifying glasses (swipe to see the attractive look 🤓)

I'm ngl, this has been the most challenging thing I've crocheted thus far! 😅 it required so much attention and precision, and a WHOLE day of just trying to get a decent magic circle 🫠 but the outcome is SO STINKING CUTE!!!! 🍄🩷

Despite the difficulty and hand pain, I'll definitely be giving micro crochet another try, because I'm totally obsessed with cute teeny tiny things 🥹 and I wanna make a whole teeny tiny world!

I was pretty torn with this prompt 😅 I LOVE being by the sea and its always been a happy place of my mine, but I think I'm a cottage core fairy forest kinda girl at heart 🤭🌲🍂🦋🍄🐛🐿🪲🐞🌿🪻

I wanted to take this promt into a slightly different direction... and what better way to celebrate my love of trees and the forest than BABY GROOT! 🌲

I'm a big fan of Gaurdians of the Galaxy ( I haven't seen the new film yet, so no spoilers!) and Groot honestly has my whole heart 🥹🤎 and the little Groot short films on Disney+ are just too adorable! 😭

This cute little pattern is by @crochetbyjessie 🧶he worked up super quickly and *shock horror* I didn't glue anything! All super easy sewing, and I love it when feet and legs that work into the body! 😊 also really liked how the leaves were incorporated into this, all being worked within the body rather than sewn/glues on 🍃

I might be a little late on the next few prompts as I've got a lot on atm! But I look forward to seeing everyone's posts nonetheless ☺️

The biggest piece, the light green plant, is just over 1 cm tall! 🥹 using a 0.90mm hook and 3 strands of embroidery thread (and a lot of patience...) I finally entered the world of micro crochet! 🥳🔍

I'm throwing it back to this stunning Kingfisher I made for my nan for Christmas 🐦🤍✨️

The details that were included in this 100% made the entire thing! The embroidered wings and back feathers made it look so much more realistic and gave it a beautiful texture 🪶 and the yarn covered wired feet gave it great structure, as well as the peep of wire poking through ends to give realistic looking claws! ☺️

#AmiguruMay2023 Day 13! Inside a bag 🎒

This baby here is my main project bag ✨️🤍 I have loads of other smaller project bags full of WIP'S 🤭 but this main one contains hooks, tools, notebooks, crochet magazines, yarn, and my year long project temperature blanket 🌡 ... of which I still have a lot to catch up on 😅

I got this bag for Christmas last year, and it is honestly a pride and joy of mine! It holds loads of yarn and has lots of nifty pockets and zips. Whilst also doubling ups as a rucksack with holes to thread yarn through for on-the-go projects! 🧶

#AmiguruMay2023 Day 13! Inside a bag 🎒

This baby here is my main project bag ✨️🤍 I have loads of other smaller project bags full of WIP'S 🤭 but this main one contains hooks, tools, notebooks, crochet magazines, yarn, and my year long project temperature blanket 🌡 ... of which I still have a lot to catch up on 😅

I got this bag for Christmas last year, and it is honestly a pride and joy of mine! It holds loads of yarn and has lots of nifty pockets and zips. Whilst also doubling ups as a rucksack with holes to thread yarn through for on-the-go projects! 🧶

#AmiguruMay2023 Day12! How it's made ✏️

I've interpreted this promt as how I start with making my own amigurumi 😁 so I'll do a quick low down of my process with my Yin Yang Mindful Monster! ☯️

It all starts with a rough idea and a cute little sketch 💡then I scribble down some rough notes before I start crocheting. So things like colours, shape, size, small details, type of yarn, etc. Then on to the more technical bits like how many rounds, how many stitches, how many increases and decreases etc. 📖 then I grab my hook and get going!

My little crochet journal is FULL of inspo and ideas for other original designs I want to make, I'm just a little scared to take the leap and get into them 😅 I think for now, I'm happy and comfortable with making my own amigurumi, it's gunna take a little more experience and skill to start branching out to clothes and bags etc! Sometime soon, though 🤞🏻🫶🏻

Cats! No, dogs! No, cats! No, ... BOTH! 😁 I couldn't make my mind up for this promt! I honestly love them both equally 🩷✨️

I've lived with cats my entire life and I couldn't imagine a life without them 🐱 but dogs also hold a special place in my heart, given that my golden boy, Henry, saves my life and looks after me every day 🐕‍🦺🥰

So I thought, why not combine the two! And what better way than to use this reversible pattern by @chibiscraft ☺️✨️

The golden lab is is, of course, an ode to my boy, Henry! 💛 And the calico cat is an ode to my gorgeous girl, Tilly, who passed away a few years ago now 🧡 and if you swipe to the end, my current princess, Kuro, is checking Tilly out 🤭

I had A LOT of fun making these cuties! I learnt so many cool techniques, especially the collar (buy the pattern to find out how 😉), and the instructions were super clear and straightforward - highly recommend!

Of course, fabri-tac came to my rescue with attaching the ears, muzzles, feet, beads, and tails. The no-sew queen strikes again! 👸🏼 the glue has kept them all in place, and there's no issue when flipping them around 😊

#AmiguruMay2023 Day 9! Stripes 🧡🖤

A day late again! I'm currently struggling with my physcial health at the moment, so I'm a little behind with my daily makes makes/prompts! ❤️‍🩹

But nonetheless, here's TIGGER! In all his stripey glory 😁 I initially wanted to do a tiger, but thought that might be a little too on the nose 🧐 and given I went to Disneyland Paris this year and met Tigger in person, he quickly became the obvious choice for this prompt! 🤭🐯

AND I got to use my @stylecraftyarns neon orange DK yarn, so wins all round 😝🧡

I had a lot of fun making this little guy! I used the pattern by @bumcraft_boomhouse and adapted it so it included Tiggers' famous springy tail! I also enjoyed sewing the stripe details on instead of crocheting them in. I think they look much more effective, and I could vary the thickness of them too. I also love patterns where the feet are incorporated into the body... less sewing for the no-sew queen 👸🏼😅

I'm working day 10's promt now, so it'll probably be posted tomorrow 🙈 but it's a very cute and a something different to what I've done before! So I'm looking forward to finishing it 😁
